Brief description of products/services:
Clear Identity is a professional graphic design studio, specialising in branding and corporate identity for small to medium sized businesses. We create logos, stationery, brochures and flyers, presentation and exhibition materials, advertisements, newsletters, point of sale - pretty much anything that a client needs designed, we design it. We also handle printing and production so clients only need to deal with one point of contact. Unlike other small graphic design studios, we have extensive experience and expertise in strategic marketing, advertising, retail and business management. This experience enables us to offer our clients the skills of a much larger agency. We fit perfectly perfect with businesses who have outgrown their freelance designer, or who have used advertising agencies before and want a more personal service with better value for their budget.
Share a significant impact you have made for a client:
Our clients love what we do, and they love working with us (and they come back to us and refer us to their colleagues and contacts). To me that's a significant impact for both us and our clients. Repeatedly we see our clients growing, expanding, increasing their turnover (and their profit), adding more staff and services so they can help their clients. I like to think that the work we do for them has a hand in helping our clients achieve their goals.
What is your most favourite technology gadget, tool, app or toy and why:
Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE everything Apple. I love my iMac, my iPhone4 and my new iPad2. Oh - and my Apple Magic Mouse, I love that (so much better than those ugly, clunky Logitech mice). I don't know why I love Apple, I just do - you can't question true love, you just have to go with it!! :) I also have a pretty cool Wacom Cintiq drawing tablet which I don't often have time to play with, but it does make deep-etching photos much easier!!
What inspires you on a daily basis:
Every day, I get to do what it is I love doing. My favourite part of a project is the first meeting - getting excited with a client, discovering their passion for what they do, finding out how we can work together, discussing what they want to achieve. Then, when we've finished the project, I get a real kick out of seeing their face when they have their new logo on their new business cards, or their new brochure, or their new signage. The excitement, the pride, the confidence they have at that moment inspires me, every single time.

What do you love about working or living in the Samford district:
I started Clear Identity in 2004, working from home when we were living in Samford. I loved the space, and the quiet, the mountain views we had from our house. Since then, I have worked - and continue to work - with so many inspiring business owners who live and work in the Samford area. I love the community feel in the village and the fact that it's separated from the edge of suburbia, that slightly isolated, self-contained atmosphere that is uniquely "Samford": there's no where else quite like it!
What do you enjoy/appreciate about the Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce:
I enjoy the opportunity to meet and reconnect with other like-minded business people. In Samford, as a business owner, it's easy to feel a bit isolated (or even lonely) so the Chamber is a great chance to discover that in fact, there are many many other talented business owners facing the same issues and successes that you are. Business is about building relationships, and I think the Chamber is an excellent place to cement them.
