We are a team of allied health professionals who deliver quality health & wellness services to the community from 4 centres between Brisbane North and the Sunshine Coast. We offer personalised programs for 3 main types of people: 1) People suffering chronic disease such as Diabetes, Heart Disease, Lung Disease, Arthritis and Osteoporosis; 2) People recovering from workplace or personal injury including surgery or back pain; 3) People who want to maintain or improve their baseline level of health including pregnant women, overweight people. People choose Merendi Health & Wellness because our multidisciplinary team which includes Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Massage Therapists work together to provide services which are personalised to your needs as well as holistic in nature to consider all aspects of your health & wellness and to empower you to make changes. Within the next 5 years we would like to expand our allied health team to become the leading Health & Wellness service provider in Queensland.
Share a significant impact you have made for a client
One recent success story of ours is a diabetic who started seeing us 2 years ago. He was recently told by his GP that not only does he not require medication for his condition; but that his lifestyle change has meant he is now no longer a T2Diabetic! This is an example of an ideal client who is motivated to commit to positive change in order to improve their health & wellness.
What is your most favourite technology gadget, tool, app or toy and why
iphone - I can check emails, my calendar/diary, internet banking, almost everything with a touch on my screen :)
What inspires you on a daily basis
Other business women who successfully run their own business, whilst also raising a family!
What do you love about working or living in the Samford district
The intimacy - you can't walk down the street without running into someone you know. Everyone is friendly and there is always someone to catch up for a coffee with.
What do you enjoy/appreciate about the Samford & Districts Chamber of Commerce
Again the intimacy - being a small group allows the members to really get to know each other really well - business wise and personally!
